BARNHOUSE
The
William Barnhouse (1807VA-1878IA)
and Francis Barnhouse (1806MD-1890IA)
pioneer families came to NE Iowa as it opened for settlement, from the
Harrison/Carroll County, Ohio, area, as did numerous other interconnected
surnames in NE Iowa. William's line moved from Virginia to Carroll Co,
Ohio, then to the home farm in section 11, West Union Twp, Fayette County, Iowa.
Francis moved from Baltimore Co, Maryland to Carroll County, Ohio, and to a
home farm in sections 17-18, Clayton Twp, Clayton County, Iowa.
I have not decided on, nor found their relationship, so will not speculate at
this time how William and Frances are connected, although I have other Barnhouse
entries in my FTM files. Perhaps someone can supply further information to
post.

Overview: This page contains a descendent tree and report of the material entered into my Family Tree Maker (FTM) files the last time I made any major review of the surname(s) discussed on this page. The objective is to let someone jump start their research and save countless hours/dollars, or to add data to past researchers' files regarding Fayette County, Iowa, surnames. Do not trust as totally valid any tree/report data. The 'Photo Hosting' site contains plats, histories and other resource albums.

Descendants of William Barnhouse

Note: Do not trust as totally valid any tree/report data. Often World Connect or Ancestry trees/data is utilized as a foundation upon which to add material gleamed from obits, articles, histories, biographies, stories, burials, censuses and other data collected. My primary interest is generally the pioneer history and includes linking village and neighborhood surnames together for a few of the early generations. Often connections, locations and other data have to be speculated in order to continue a complex series of inter-related projects.
I have a huge number of projects started and rarely return to edit/update
material unless interest is rekindled. Any web pages I run online are
usually linked off the 'Index Page' I try to utilize simple web
pages so no longer use many links on
individual pages. Numerous projects are not put on web pages but are in
the form of photo albums on the 'Photo Hosting Site.'
