Robert T. Valentine descendent tree

The tree was built from online, census, burial info/data and other data so there will be speculations/best guesses.
The tree can be added too or corrected should anyone want to copy/paste/email info.
Do not take any material/dates as absolute fact.  Use the data to jump start your own research.

Note:
...The tree, built from Ancestry data, down to Shadrack (father of Robert) Valentine is a 'mess'......a work in progress for another day, perhaps.
...Buckner Valentine was listed as father of Shadrack in one online tree, with no other info located, but marriage date on record for Buckner is after birth of Shadrack, and also age differences are in question.
...The Lunenburg.Co.VA area was the major location for quite a number of free blacks/mulattoes by 1802, to include numerous Valentine households (1802 list near bottom of page).  There are presently very few trees online for the Valentines, and those are basically difficult to utilize.
...Enumerated in 1860, on Little Roche-a-Cri Creek, Newark.Valley.Twp, Adams.Co.WI were four colored families,  Robert Valentine48NCmu, Leonard Manley31NCbk, Issac Collins50VAbk, John Alexander Joiner23NC (nephew of Sarah Joiner Collins, bz/2018).
...The main objective of the following tree was to track how Robert Valentine ended up in Adams.Co.WI, followed by moving to Fayette.Co.IA, to shed light on the history of the Isaac Collins family, and specifically Isaac's daughter Susan Collins.
...The Collins family moved out of Madison.Co.IL by the mid 1850's and ended up with and on the Robert Valentine land on Little Roche-a-Chi Creek, in Adams.Co.WI, where Robert Valentine had entered 320a of land in 1857.
...The Valentine and the Collins family moved to the Albany area of Fayette.Co.IA, in 1864/65.
...Robert Valentine farmed 60-80a, 1mi WxSW of Albany until he sold his farm a bit before 1880 and moved with is wife to a home north of the Fayette.IA bridge, where his wife died and was buried at Pleasant Hill Cem, north of Fayette.  It is assumed Robert Valentine also died in his home, and buried unmarked in Pleasant Hill.

...The Watrous family was instrumental in the establishment of the free colored settlement in Westfield.Twp, Fayette.Co.IA:  http://www.iowaz.info/surname/watrous.htm

Do not trust as totally valid any tree/report data.  Often World Connect or Ancestry trees/data were utilized as a foundation upon which to add material gleamed from obits, articles, histories, biographies, stories, burials, censuses and other data collected.  My primary interest is generally the pioneer history and includes linking village and neighborhood surnames together for several of the early generations.  Family connections, locations and other data may have to be speculated in order to continue a complex series of inter-related projects.  My web pages are primarily personal study projects for note keeping, but can also jump start others.  I have a huge number of projects started and rarely return to edit/update material unless interest is rekindled.  Any web pages online are usually linked off the 'Index Page.'  Numerous projects are not put on web pages but are in draft form or in the form of photo albums on the 'Photo Hosting Site.'   I may have material for research use in storage, plus will/can upload other people's material if appropriate.
