...2014Feb01, After nearly ten years, the material/notes in my
master FTM file for the first few generations of the John1725 Hunt line out of Eydon, Northamptonshire, England, were revisited and edited with some new
material added, to include Hunt material supplied by Al.Sttit on the Jesse1780
line & Skip.Baker on the John1786>Reuben.Sr1823 line.
...2014Feb23, The John1725 Hunt line for about three
generations has been reworked enough to be uploaded to a new page and move on to other
projects (any Hunt data on old Angelfire pages are obsolete).
...2014Feb25, Added the surname of wife of Jesse1786 as Hannah
'Powell' and a burial/baptism list of Hunt's in Cropedy, Oxfordshire supplied by
Al.Stitt, who feels there is a connection to at lest some of them to the
John1725 line as Crodedy is so close, within a few miles, of all the other
villages in the Eydon & Banbury area. Thus if anyone stumbles into this
page and supply connections/data, please email. Reloaded fresh trees.

Eydon, Northamptonshire, England
Eydon, Northamptonshire, England:
Village homepage:
http://www.eydon.org.uk/index.html
Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eydon
...Eydon is a village and civil parish in South
Northamptonshire, about 8 miles north-east of Banbury.
...The Eydon parish is bounded to the west by the River Cherwell, to the
south by a stream that is one of its tributaries, and to the east and north by
field boundaries.
...The 1086 Domesday Book of 1086 listed Eydon as having a mill (water).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domesday_Book

Notes:
...The Hunt line was in he Eydon.England area for centuries
to include neighboring parishes as Shutford, Banbury, Chipping Warden.
...Many of the area population around Eydon, Banbury, Shutford worked in the
worsted, mohair, plush cloth industry of the area of which the Wrench family
were prominent.
http://www.iowaz.info/surname/wrench.htm
...Many of the Hunt's and collateral families has jobs as weavers, bobbin
winders, laborers, etc, as the mills became more mechanized.
...To understand the plush industry and weaving read
this pamphlet:
http://public.fotki.com/iowaz/hunt-surname/wrench-family-engli/
...Many of the earlier Hunts in Eydon, Northamptonshire.Co,England, were paupers who were buried in pauper graves....a fact indicated in the materials at the Northamptonshire archives. Also Reuben Sr. Hunt1823 and Edward Hunt1818, sons of John Hunt1786 x Sarah Timms1855, were the 1st of this Hunt line to leave the area of Eydon and moved to work in the woolen and plush mills of Shutford, Oxforshire.Co, England. For a few years they lived with a Richard Compton family....maybe the same parents (or an Uncle) of Amos Compton1831 (parents were Wm. Compton 1805 x Alice Wrench1810) who later married their sister Lucy1830. Shortly after that time John Hunt1786 and wife Sarah Timms1785, moved to Shutford to gain employment in the Wrench Woolen mills. Eliz's (Elizabeth Wrench1830 x Reuben St. Hunt1823) father (Thomas Wrench1785 x Lydia Eliz Page1785) was a minister and also part of the (Wrench) woolen industry in Shutford. His brother (Wm. Wrench1806) owned the mill. (Skip.Baker/2002, reviewed bz/2014)
...John Hunt 1786-1875, the maiden name of his wife Sarah (from Al.Stitt/2004): From two contacts in England; micro fiche of the Eydon parish records and second being the Eydon Historical Group, both show the wife Sarah 1785-1875 of John Hunt 1786-1875, had a maiden name of Timms (with no mention of Stowe as posted on some Ancestry trees, bz/2004). The following is from the Eydon Historical Group, "On 20th Jan, 1817, John Hunt married Sarah TIMMS (both of this parish), by Banns (i.e. not by licence). No parents consent given so they both must have been over 21. No mention of spinster, but no Mrs. before her name which would suggest that it was her first marriage. John Hunt could sign his name, Sarah could not."

Third Generation: John Hunt x Sarah Timms (oldest Hunt line
pics available),
would be my gggGrandparenth. Their son is of primary interest to me,
Reuben Sr. Hunt, 1823-1907, my ggGrandfather settled in Fayette.IA (my hometown).

Her brother's Jesse1780 would have descendents in NY & John1786, in Fayette.IA &
on the west coast of America.
Maria Hunt, in 1812, married John Rawlings-Brightwell, and would have 11 'known
children bet 1819-1834, in Eydon.Eng.
In 1851, Maria & John left England with widowed dau Mary Ann1819 Weston, dau
Matura1828, plus son Eber's1826 farmily.
The group arrived at New.Orleans, took a steamer to St.L.MO, where Maria & John
would remain.
Son Eber moved across the Mississippi River to Alton.IL, until his father died
in 1861, then moved to Utah.
The John & Maria & several of the children apparently were baptized in the
Latter Day Saints Church (LDS, Morman) in Eydon.Eng.
There is significant confusion & lack of completion on Ancestry (as of 2014)
regarding the Rawlings-Brightwell line & the Cooksley line.
Pasted below is probably the best guess to date regarding a Brightwell & a
Cooksley tree with notes and the Hunt connection, 2014/bz.

Do not trust as totally valid any tree/report data. Often World Connect or Ancestry trees/data were utilized as a foundation upon which to add material gleamed from obits, articles, histories, biographies, stories, burials, censuses and other data collected. My primary interest is generally the pioneer history and includes linking village and neighborhood surnames together for several of the early generations. Family connections, locations and other data may have to be speculated in order to continue a complex series of inter-related projects. My web pages are primarily personal study projects for note keeping, but can also jump start others. I have a huge number of projects started and rarely return to edit/update material unless interest is rekindled. Any web pages online are usually linked off the 'Index Page.' Numerous projects are not put on web pages but are in draft form or in the form of photo albums on the 'Photo Hosting Site.' I may have material for research use in storage, plus will/can upload other people's material if appropriate.
